1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Threshold, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Threshold. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these terms on your behalf.

3. Service Description

Threshold is a fitness intelligence platform that provides activity tracking, AI-powered coaching, nutrition planning, strength training logging, and training analytics. The service integrates with Apple Health, Garmin, and Strava. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

4. User Accounts

You may sign in using Google or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Threshold offers a free tier with usage limits and a paid subscription (“Threshold Pro”) with expanded access to AI features and training plans.

• Monthly: $9.99/month
• Annual: $79.99/year (includes a 7-day free trial)

Important auto-renewal terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate
• Free trials automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions

Pricing may change with notice. Subscription features and limits are subject to change. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service
• Abuse AI features (e.g., circumventing rate limits, generating harmful content)

7. Health & Medical Disclaimer

Threshold is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

All fitness information, AI-generated coaching, workout suggestions, readiness scores, and nutrition estimates are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program, changing your diet, or making health-related decisions. If you experience pain, dizziness, or other symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

You acknowledge that you use Threshold and follow its suggestions at your own risk.

8. Intellectual Property

The Threshold app, its design, code, and content are owned by Threshold and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of data you create (workouts, food logs, etc.), and you grant us a limited license to process that data to provide the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threshold and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, injury, health issues, or damages arising from:

• Use of or inability to use the service
• Any AI-generated content or suggestions
• Inaccuracies in fitness, nutrition, or health data
• Third-party service outages (Garmin, Strava, Apple Health)

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes all your data from our servers and cannot be undone. Active subscriptions should be canceled separately through Apple before deleting your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall be resolved in the courts of California.
